Hoping to pick up the Nintendo Switch Mario Kart Bundle on Cyber Monday? The bad news is that it’s tough to find in stock at its normal retail price of $299. The good news: It’s not impossible. We know, because at least one person at CNET was able to snag it at Amazon in the past few days and we also saw it in stock at Walmart — yes, only briefly — on Sunday morning. It’s out of stock everywhere early on Cyber Monday morning but we’re keeping track of inventory and will be updating as more stock arrives.

For starters, let’s talk about what you get in the box with the new $299 Switch Mario Kart bundle:

Here we go: The new Nintendo Switch Mario Kart bundle has only been available since last Sunday, but it’s already as difficult to get as the PS5 and Xbox Series X. Let me guess: You knew the new Xbox Series X and PS5 were all but impossible to find this year, so you decided to opt for a Nintendo Switch instead. “It came out in 2017 — it’s old news by now,” you thought. Well, we’re sorry to say the Switch is also playing hard to get this holiday season. Despite pandemic-starved inventory channels being replenished in the late summer, the Switch remained tough to get through the fall. Super Mario Sunshine On Switch Now Supports GameCube Controllers

Super Mario 3D All-Stars has added a much-requested feature in its new update. The version of Super Mario Sunshine featured in the collection now supports the use of GameCube controllers. This means that players nostalgic for the analogue shoulder buttons of Nintendo’s older system can now recreate their early-2000s memories by playing Sunshine with the older controller.

To do so, players will need a GameCube Controller Adapter, which was released alongside Super Smash Bros. Ultimate. This will allow you to play the game with the classic controls, meaning that you can use the right shoulder button to control the stream of your FLUDD. A light press will shoot a light stream of water; a full press gives you more control over your direction, while Mario is planted firm.

This wasn’t possible with the Joy-Cons or Pro Controller, so it’s a welcome addition. Unfortunately, it’ll only work with the Switch in

It can make me feel like I’m a tiny person shrunk down into another space, exploring it in detail I wouldn’t otherwise pick up. It blends augmented reality and the real world at high speeds.

Robotic toys were a big thing a few years ago, and then they faded a bit. Anki Cozmo, all the WowWee creatures, all the Sphero Star Wars droids and cars. Some died, some remain. But those were mostly RC vehicles. What Mario Kart makes me think of is telepresence.
