how can the region emerge stronger and more competitive?

The ability to innovate has never been as critical to growth and prosperity: more than 65% of global GDP will be digitized by the end of 2022.

However, Europe’s rate of innovation is not keeping pace. In Boston Consulting Group’s annual ranking of the world’s most innovative companies, there are no European businesses in the top 20. Companies across the region have deployed technology to navigate the pandemic, but for Europe to close the innovation gap, there’s more to be done.

“Technology has had a key role in helping businesses keep things going during the pandemic and it will keep playing a key role in the recovery that we are moving into. But in Europe we do have something of an inconvenient truth in that Europe is lagging in innovation on the global stage.” — Azeem Azhar innovation expert and producer of Exponential View

Canada better fits the definition of a state committing genocide than Xinjiang region, China says

The Chinese government says Canada better fits the definition of a state committing genocide than the Xinjiang region, pointing to population growth rates – some inaccurate – that it says demonstrate it has not mistreated its Uyghur population.

China’s foreign ministry spokesman Zhao Lijian also scoffed at the “ignorance” of Bob Rae, the Canadian ambassador to the United Nations, who on Sunday said “there’s no question that there’s aspects of what the Chinese are doing” in Xinjiang that “fits into the definition of genocide in the Genocide Convention.”

Mr. Rae’s comments mark the latest escalation from the Canadian government in its condemnation of Chinese policies in Xinjiang, where women have been sterilized, large numbers of people have been forced into political indoctrination camps and mosques have been demolished. Mr. Rae made the comments to the CBC, saying he has called for the United Nations Human Rights Council to mount a

The market saw reduced demand for automotive products such as automotive stereo cameras in 2020 owing to the COVID-19 pandemic. In addition, the weakening of the US dollar has left a negative impact on the import of raw materials required to manufacture stereo camera products. Hence the market is experiencing negative year-over-year growth in 2020. However, the market is expected to gain traction over the forecast period owing to the high adoption of active safety systems such as automatic emergency braking systems (AEBS) through ADAS.

  • While firms in Asia adopted that mode out of necessity, she said, it’s now becoming the prevailing strategy in the US and Europe as well.
